Held annually on the 2nd Saturday in September the Pitlochry Highland Games have been enthralling their spectators since 1852!
Our tempting menus offer a selection of classic, hearty dishes, with the occasional cosmopolitan twist, making the most of Scotland’s rich natural larder. Guests' favourites include the sumptuous local fish, lamb or game, all served with delicious fresh vegetables. Dishes such as the haggis tartlet or the Pigeon in Sherry Sauce encourage more adventurous palates. Our menu reflects a wealth of Scottish provender, including Orkney Herring, Arran Mustards and cheese from the Isle of Mull to name a few.
To start off this traditional Scottish event you can see the Pipe Band Parade at approximately 11.45am. The bands will march down Atholl Road to the Recreation Ground where the Games Day is held.
Pitlochry Highland Games are host to a number of competitions on throughout the day, which incude Piping, Highland Dancing, Heavy and Sporting events plus races just for the children! Should you wish to wander around there are many Food, Craft and Charity stalls located around the field.
Pine Trees Hotel is only minutes away from Atholl Road and the perfect base for anyone looking to attend Pitlochry Highland Games. Please be aware that this year due to the Blair Atholl Horse Trials being on the same weekend, any accommodation should be booked as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
