Whether you’re after a relaxing short holiday, or more of an adrenalin surge, there’s no shortage of things to see and do during your Spring break in Scotland. From a bracing walk up to the top of Ben-y-vrackie (approx 2,750 ft), or a round of golf at Pitlochry’s “Hidden Gem” club, to a spot of fishing on the Tummel or Tay, or a cycle ride through the beautiful local countryside, it’s all on the doorstep of the Pine Trees Hotel.
For a more leisurely short break, why not explore one of the many pretty little towns and villages within easy reach of the Pine Trees Hotel, which offer a multitude of interesting shops to browse in, and cosy cafes and tearooms? There is always something going on at the Festival Theatre, Perthshire’s celebrated “theatre in the hills”, just across the river in Pitlochry and, while there, have a meander round the Explorers’ Garden, and learn about the many famous Scottish plant hunters. The area is also home to the magnificently turreted Blair Castle, where you can absorb the history, and perhaps meet a ghost, on one of the many guided tours on offer. Several distilleries nearby, including Scotland’s smallest at Edradour, also offer tours, with a dram at the end as a reward for your exertions!
Whatever your interests, the friendly staff at the Pine Trees Hotel will be on hand to help you make the most of your Spring break in Highland Perthshire and, with its excellent transport links, Pitlochry is very easy to access by road or rail, and is only 1 ½ hours from Edinburgh or Glasgow airports. Time to get planning!
