Sybille Kuntz Wine Dinner

An Evening with Winemaker Sybille Kuntz

Join us on Tuesday 29 April from 6.30pm for an intimate evening of exceptional food and expertly paired wines at Pine Trees. Our Hotel Manager and Sommelier, David Lapsley has proudly featured Sybille Kuntz’s wines on every wine list he has written since 2014 - her dry Rieslings are, in his view, among the finest in Europe, if not the world.

Based in Lieser on the Mosel, Sybille draws on centuries of family tradition. After opening a wine shop in 1981, she founded her own estate in 1984 with just half a hectare. Alongside her husband Markus, she has since crafted bold, organic Rieslings that reflect both heritage and innovation.

This special dinner will feature dishes including homemade sausage roll and smoked trout fish cake, West Coast langoustine with fresh tomato, spring onion and chilli, and Peterhead-landed hake with Shetland mussels and Hispi cabbage—all paired with wines specially selected by Sybille herself.

£50 per person – includes all food and wine pairings.

We’re proud to welcome Sybille to launch the first of what we hope will become many memorable wine events at Pine Trees. Join us for a relaxed and flavourful evening celebrating one of Europe’s most distinctive winemakers.

Enjoy fresh, seasonal, local ingredients in our restaurant and bar.

A crackling fire & cosy armchairs are the perfect way to end your day.

Let us show you our world.

The best of both worlds, Pine Trees is surrounded with places to explore.
Be regaled by performers at the theatre in the woods, discover whisky distilleries & savour the flavour of their drams.
