The closest airport to Pine Trees is Dundee (32.4 miles), Edinburgh (54.3 miles), Inverness (59.6 miles), Glasgow (64.2 miles) and Aberdeen (67.4 miles).
Pitlochry train station is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and is on the main Highland Railway line connecting London to Glasgow and Edinburgh and on to Inverness.
The team would be happy to arrange transfers on request.
Yes, parking is free in the hotel grounds.
Pine Trees is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Pitlochry and easily accessible from a number of attractions within the town.
The weather in Scotland can be changeable, but that is part of the charm. We always recommend layers and a good jacket. A separate waterproof can be helpful and comfy shoes is a must. We have dry robes and Hunter wellies available to borrow if you require them.
You can check in any time from 3pm on your day of arrival. On your departure day, please vacate your room by 11am. You can ask for an early check-in when you book, which we will try to accommodate if we can. You can also request a late check-out as you arrive for your stay. Please feel welcome to arrive sooner than 3pm to enjoy the hotel’s facilities.
Absolutely! We have a number of flexible options for families staying in the hotel, including some rooms that feature a sofa bed or bunk rooms and we can arrange cots or extra beds if required. Our Reception Team will be happy to discuss the options in more detail to find the room best suited to your family.
Our restaurant, Fauna, also offers a delicious children's menu featuring local favourites for our younger diners.

We love dogs at Pine Trees and our Coach House, just moments from the Main House, offers six warm and thoughtfully designed rooms which are all dog-friendly. They are also welcome in the Flora Bar if you are dining at Pine Trees and in the lounge areas, but please note we do not allow dogs in Fauna restaurant.
Breakfast is served daily in Fauna between 7.30am and 9.30am.
Due to the historic nature of Pine Trees, unfortunately there is no wheelchair access. A number of our rooms in the Coach House, Hazelbank House and Hazelbank Cottage have ground floor access, but there are steps up to the front doors.
We do not have a lift within any of the buildings at Pine Trees.
Yes, we have a range of luxury eco-friendly toiletries available throughout the hotel.
No, there is no resort fee or additional charges unless you decide to add anything to your stay that is not included in the room rate.
We do not have laundry facility. However, we can organise a local laundry service if required.
We would always recommend booking in advance, however the team will always try to accommodate any last minute requests if they can.
Fauna is open for guests of the hotel for breakfast between 7.30am and 9.30am.
Over the weekend, the restaurant is open for lunch from Midday, and seven days a week dinner is served from 6pm with the last reservation at 8.30pm.
Our restaurant and bar are open to non residents as well throughout the afternoon and evening.
Yes, our menus contain allergen information and our team will always ask when seating you if there are any allergies or intolerances they should be aware of. Please note that due to the layout of our kitchen and some of the ingredients that we use, although we strive to accommodate allergens as much as possible, we cannot guarantee no cross contamination has occurred.
No, we like to describe our evening atmosphere as smart casual with a touch of Highland elegance. There is no formal dress code, however most guests to dress up a little, especially if they have been out during the day. During the day and at breakfast attire is relaxed.
Throughout the day we do kindly ask that hiking boots are not worn in the reception, bar or restaurant.
Our team would be happy to organise this for you, and can offer a number of options depending on your taste and experience with whisky before. Alternatively there are some fantastic whisky distilleries very close by and we would be happy to help organise a distillery tour or tasting for you.
