WATERMILL
There has been a mill on this site since the late 16th century and Blair Atholl is one of the very few working traditional mills left in Scotland. Open from 29th March until 31st October, you can see the wheat and oats being ground, eat delicious freshly-made produce in the Tea Room (or the garden in summer) and buy flour, bread and cakes to take home. Baking courses are also available. www.blairathollwatermill.co.uk
ATHOLL COUNTRY LIFE MUSEUM
Housed in the former village school and recently refurbished, the Museum offers insights into bygone life, colourful characters and the impact they had far beyond the local community. You’ll find the only stuffed Highland cow, a reconstructed post office and other curiosities! The Museum is currently undertaking the Voices of Atholl project providing a firsthand account of local life in the mid 20th century. www.athollcountrylifemuseum.org
