Rooted In History Since 1892

Located in Big Tree Country, Pine Trees takes its name from the acres of woodland and beautiful tall Perthshire trees that surround the hotel. When the original mansion house was built as a private house in 1892, it was known as Tom-na-Monachan which roughly translates to ‘Hill of the Monks’ or 'The Monks Hill'. The house was transformed into a hotel in 1935, and other than being used by the War Office during WWII, it has continued its legacy for over 90 years as a welcoming Highland retreat.
