The Pine Trees experience would not be complete without the delicious cuisine and delightful service in the Garden Restaurant. Our tempting menus offer a selection of classic, hearty dishes, with the occasional cosmopolitan twist, making the most of Scotland’s rich natural larder. Guests' favourites include the sumptuous local fish, lamb or game, all served with delicious fresh vegetables. Our menu reflects a wealth of Scottish provender, including Orkney Herring, Arran Mustards and cheese from the Isle of Mull to name a few. With many of our tables overlooking the gardens, guests are treated to a charming setting from which to enjoy their meal.

“Last week, my girlfriend and I joined a few guests, staying at the hotel, for dinner. Our friends had enjoyed their meal on the previous night so much, that they insisted we drive down from Inverness, where we were visiting, to join them for the evening. We were not disappointed! A lovely, well-balanced menu, with plenty of choices for all. We all chose differently and then thoroughly enjoyed every last morsel of our food.”

Starter

VELOUTE
White Onion, Chive yoghurt, herb croutons.

CHICKEN LIVER
Chicken liver parfait, red onion and fig chutney Oatcakes and pickled onions.

SALMON & MACKEREL
Salmon and mackerel roulade, served with hot smoked salmon, celeriac remoulade and lemon oil.

GOATS CHEESE
Heritage tomatoes with crispy goats cheese Sun blushed tomatoes, pea shoots and basil oil.

Main Courses

BEEF
Seared Rib Eye of beef, beef tomato, flat cap mushrooms, Roast root vegetables, coarse grain mustard sauce, Triple cooked chunky chips. Supplement applies.

LAMB
Roast lamb lump, wild mushroom polenta cake Buttered tender stem broccoli, braised red cabbage with a rosemary and red wine jus.

CHICKEN
Roulade of chicken, stuffed with prosciutto and confit tomatoes with a Provencal vegetable cake, basil cream sauce and fondant potato.

SALMON
Poached salmon, poached mussels, tomato and basil croquette with a mussel and chive sauce.

RISOTTO
Cauliflower risotto served with charred cauliflower crispy parmesan, truffle oil and pea shoots.

All dishes are served with a selection of fresh vegetables and potatoes.

PANNA COTTA
Raspberry and cassis panna cotta With a raspberry sorbet.

ICED BANANA PARFAIT
Chocolate ice cream, crushed meringues and honeycomb.

STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING
Served with vanilla pod ice cream and a honey tuile.

SELECTION OF HOMEMADE ICE CREAMS

Cheeses

ISLE OF MULL CHEDDAR
This hard cheese is made in Tobermory using unpasteurized milk from a closed herd of cows. It is cellar matured for 6 months and has a powerful lingering flavour.

MORANGIE BRIE
A Scottish brie from Blairaith Farm in Easter Ross.

STILTON
Handmade by one of the last independent Stilton makers judged by connoisseurs as one of the world's finest.
